Ferry Rider of the Month: Martin Jubowski

Weeping with pride, and moved by the out-pouring of support from his fellow BFF's, today Bremerton Ferry regular Martin Jubowski, an accountant from nearby Gorst, Washington, was named Ferry Rider of The Month for January.

Martin -- who occupied the 8th booth on the starboard side of the boat while regaling nearby passengers with his dramatic reading of the Winter 2010 Bainbridge Island Ferry Schedule -- won in a narrow vote by Ferry Personnel over December's winner, Mrs. Xavier Ripsneer. She was a shoe-in after her "Hot and Sweet Thai Basil Ice Cream with Savory Chili Sauce Casserole (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, salt, butter, palm sugar, red chilis, Windex)" took the 6:20 from Bremerton by a storm of sorts the week before Hannukah.

The prize, given the first week of the month, includes a year's supply of Dramamine and a $10 gift card to the cafeteria. Menu options can be found in yesterday afternoon's post.
