Seattle's own rock-and-rollers, Heart, made a surprise appearance on the Bremerton-to-Seattle ferry on Tuesday, setting off a firestorm of emotion from BFFs throughout the boat.
Looking surprised and a bit mystified at the attention being given to them by several middle-aged female passengers, famous sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson posed for photos and signed autographs during the 6:20 a.m. crossing.
"They are amazing!" exclaimed Pat Jones, a giddy-but-gruff 46-year old BFF woman wearing a Seattle Storm hoodie and Birkenstocks. "They're the soundtrack of my life," she added before dropping into a slightly tone-deaf rendition of "Crazy On You."
The Wilsons, shown below during their hey-day on the cover of Rolling Stone, released their "Red Velvet Car" studio album in October. Oddly, the sisters were unable to answer this reporter's questions about the new album, their many hit songs, the band's long history of success, Nancy's well-publicized bout with obesity, or anything even remotely related to music. Still, the pair, which also owns Bad Animals Studios in downtown Seattle, seemed enamored by the attention they received from the BFFs and were in no hurry to leave the boat when it arrived in Seattle.
